The Family Pet Show launched the countdown to 2015’s October show today with the news that it has signed up new headline sponsor, The Co-operative Insurance.
In its third year, the show is set to be the biggest yet, and organisers are delighted to announce the five-year deal with The Co-operative Insurance - and the arrival of Thornton and Ross’ Zoflora, the DOGS area sponsor.
Already predicting footfall in excess of 15,000 over the two days, thanks to its unique family – and pet friendly – format which encourages people and their pets to visit, this year there will be even more to see and do.

The people-plus-pets formula has equalled growing success for the Manchester-based event, its sponsors and trade exhibitors with repeat sign-ups and new attractions for this year.
Once again the show will host dogs, cats, small furries, meerkats, a mini farm, donkeys, critters and exotics with an even greater emphasis on interactive activities, including fun dog competitions. Because visitors are encouraged to bring their own pets, exhibitors and sponsors and owners have a perfect opportunity to talk through challenges, behaviour, diet, health, welfare and more.
Returning exhibitor Marianne Lomberg, from Royal Canin, said: “The Family Pet Show was the first indoor pet show where the new Royal Canin Weight Management Team offered free healthy weight checks to pets of all sizes and ages. We were overwhelmed by the interest in our service – we’re already looking forward to this year’s show!” Feature areas will include WATCH, LEARN, PLAY and HAVE A GO (anything from dog training to pony long-reining), complimented by a full programme of entertaining and educational features.
Scruffts, The Kennel Club’s competition that opens a gateway to Crufts for crossbreeds, will, once again, hold its only Manchester heats at The Family Pet Show. Last year’s Scruffts heats finalist, Tracey Revell and dog Harvey, who made into the final at Crufts, will be back at The Family Pet Show to share their experience. There will be a number of price incentives and ticket deals to drive even higher footfall to the show this year.
